About the event
Harlan Howe, an out-of-work salesman, is forced by his mother to interview for a mysterious position. Through a series of mishaps, Regional Death 143 is required to hire Harlan and train him as a Messenger of Death. Archangel Gabriel and the Grim Reaper are unhappy with the situation but the Boss insists. The archangels make a wager on whether the Boss will have to change his mind. Who will win the bet? Was the hiring of Harlan a simple mistake, or are all events part of a greater order we cannot comprehend?
