CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
INDIANA PLAYERS’ SHAKESPEARE TEAM
Early this month, the Indiana Players’ Shakespeare Team, comprised of seven talented students, competed in the Pittsburgh Public Theater’s 30th Annual Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest. Under the experienced mentorship of coaches John Henry Steelman and Sara Steelman, assisted by Meghan Cronin, the Shakespeare Team has been preparing for the competition since early October. This year, more than 800 area students from more than 70 schools competed in the preliminary rounds of the Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest. Four of our team members received honorable mentions (top 15%) and our youngest team member made it all the way to The Showcase of Finalists, held this past Monday, February 26th. Congratulations to the entire Shakespeare Team! We are so proud of your accomplishments.

We are excited to announce the next installment of our Saturday Morning Playhouse series, Saturday Morning Playhouse: Spring Surprise on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00am. 2024 STINEMAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Indiana Players are dedicated to helping support the next generation of artists and active community members by sponsoring the Frances Stineman Scholarship. Each year, a scholarship of $1,000 may be awarded to a deserving, college bound high school senior or junior who has been a contributing member of the Indiana Players, onstage or off.

*Anyone interested in directing a mainstage production must have previous directing or stage management experience with the Indiana Players. Previous experience includes Mainstage and/or One-Act Festival productions. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis with approval from the Board of Directors.
